Charlene J. VanDyke-Nykamp

Charlene Joyce VanDyke-Nykamp, age 92, of Holland, passed away on May 9, 2024 at Resthaven Care Center, into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Char was preceded in death by Eugene VanDyke in August of 1995 and Jack Nykamp in February of 2024.

Char's Christian faith played a vital role in her life. She had a huge heart and loved to love on people. Char never met a stranger. To her, a stranger was a friend that you just haven't met yet. She was a shining example of doing what is right; being kind and helpful to others. She thanked God everyday for the blessings he had given her.

Char's love extended to her four children, daughter, Ginger and Tim Clark; son, Jim and Bev VanDyke; son, David and Judy VanDyke and daughter, Mary and Jim Rademaker. Char had 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday May 13, at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the service at the Mulder Chapel. Presiding over the service will be Reverend Chad Steenwyk. Interment will be at Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland.
