Carroll W. Nienhuis age 77 of Holland went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday June 22, 2013.

Carroll was born and raised in Holland, graduated from Holland High School. In 1965 he married Doris Vredeveld. Carroll worked for Micromatic-Textron for 31years. He was a member of Rose Park Reformed Church where he served as an elder, deacon, and taught Sunday school for 31 years. For many years Carroll and his family enjoyed spending time at their cottage on Big Star Lake. Preceded in death by a brother Harlan Nienhuis, and sister Shirley Nienhuis.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years Doris Nienhuis of Holland, children; Shelly and Mel Plockmeyer of Zeeland, Missy and Nate Boyce of Holland, Todd and Melissa Nienhuis of Zeeland. Also surviving are grandchildren Rachel Plockmeyer and fiancé Matthew Burns, Leah and Joseph Alfonso, Jared Plockmeyer, Emma Boyce, Owen Boyce, Eli Boyce, Abbigal Nienhuis, Annaley Nienhuis, and Addison Nienhuis, in-laws; Merle and Marilyn Vredeveld of Zeeland, Lyla and Dave Doyle of Holland, Alma and Paul DeVries of Zeeland, Ron Lezman of Zeeland, Norm and Bonnie Vredeveld of Zeeland, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Rose Park Reformed Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dave Van Opstall. Visitation will be on Monday 6-9 pm at Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Home 295 Douglas Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Park Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
