Carlos “Tim” Calvo enjoyed every moment he spent with his friends and family. He cherished them with all his heart, caring for them in times of need and celebrating with them in times of joy. He was the incredible, joyful, loving man that he was because of the God who created Him. Tim fiercely loved the Lord, talked to God daily and was an active member at church.

Tim was born in Texas on October 25, 1944. His family moved to Holland in 1950. Through mutual friends, he met his future wife, Barb Postma. They got married in 1966 and had four children, Carlos Calvo, Daniel Calvo, Rosemary Carlson, and Susan Hernandez. Followed by 12 grandchildren, Amber, Carlos (Tiffani), Megan (Rafael), Timmy, Jodi (Adrian), Anthony, Zach (Erin), Justin (Cassandra), Jordan, Jasmine (Andrew), Emilo, Josh and 16 great-grandchildren. Family was always the center of Tim’s life. His beloved dogs were also considered family, Tina, Nelly, Chula, Stinker and Zoey.

Tim worked at Life Savers as a supervisor from 1968-2002 when production closed its doors in Holland, Michigan. For 10 years, he was a bus driver for Holland Public Schools and worked at Dutch Treat. Tim and his wife Barb started the Apostolic Church of Holland and assisted in the build of Harvest Time Liberty Worship.

Tim loved all sports and enjoyed coaching his two sons. He is well known in the softball community, and the love for this sport has been passed down to his sons and grandchildren. He was also an active leader in the Cub Scouts.

Carlos “Tim” Calvo was called home to Heaven on January 10, 2024. He was preceded in death by parents Timothy and Helen Calvo, brothers Fred Munoz, brother Arthur and Lena Munoz, sisters Linda and Charlie Arizmendez, sister Mary Albright, sister Elizabeth and John Bueno, sister Rose and Jimmy Arredondo, sister Bea and Joe Dobrenski, sister Hope and Saul Anaya, sister Lil Serrano.
