Carl John Peterson, age 92, died June 20, 2022 in Holland, Michigan.

He was born June 26, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. The son of Carl M. Peterson and Lucille (Marchetti) Peterson.

Carl married his high school sweetheart, Dolores M. Napoli and lived for several years in Chicago before moving to Kokomo, Indiana where he worked for Cuneo Press as an electrotyper. He semi-retired to Fennville and briefly worked for Polynesian Pools and Sears Automotive. Carl and Dolores were married for 58 years. He loved good, clean jokes, sports of all kinds, coaching, playing cards and bowling.[OP1]

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Robert A. Peterson (9.13.1952); his beloved wife, Dolores M (Napoli) Peterson (7.18.2008); granddaughter, Jeanne Nowicki (12.2.2021) and great-grandchildren Donatus and Bruno Rilott (11.14.2021).

Carl is the cherished father of five: Carl (Ardith), James (Lisa), Janet Siewierski (Ray), Nancy Maslanka (Joe), Susan Headley (Scott).

He is the beloved grandfather of twenty-seven; great-grandfather of sixty-two and proud that four more are on the way.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 23, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 24, at 11:00am, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 100 St. Peter's Drive, Douglas, Michigan. Father Fabio Garzon will preside over the Mass. A graveside service and interment will be in Douglas Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or Hospice of Holland.

Funeral arrangements are under the auspices of the Mulder Chapel.
