Calvin Lawson, age 71, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Calvin was born in New London, Connecticut, to Robert and Margaret Lawson on February 23, 1952. He honorably served his country in the United States Army, Airborne Artillery. Mr. Lawson was a talented welder/fabricator. He was always crafting gifts for family which included flower hangers that were made from old farm equipment. He started Diversified Welding in 1993 and in 2018 he sold the business and retired. He had a heart of gold and was a friend to everyone that he came across. Calvin also had a great sense of humor. You could find him at the Trestle Stop every morning eating breakfast. He loved riding his motorcycle and cruising in his 1950 Chevy truck. He also restored an older tractor and loved giving hay rides to family and friends. Calvin enjoyed vacationing and Thanksgiving was always spent in the south.

Mr. Lawson is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Karen Lawson; children, Tammy church (Tom church), Calvin Lawrence lawson; grandchildren, Tanya Jeralds (Marcus Jeralds), Shawn lawson, Benjamin lawson, Samantha Lawson; great-grandchildren, Kailey ,Sadie Jeralds; sister, Heather Lawson Hunt ( Bob Hunt), sister in-law, Laurie Kragt (Gord); brother in-law, Larry keen, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Calvin was preceded in death by his siblings, Jackie Ihle, Tommy Sauer and Fred Sauer.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, June 20, From 12:00pm-1:00pm, at the Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral ceremony will take place following visitation at 1:00pm. Reverend Mark Waterstone presiding.
