Beryl Gale Walkotten (Morgan) born July 16, 1941 in Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully on Saturday February 19, 2022 at Holland Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold M. and Sabrina (Vermeer) Morgan and her older brother Harold D. Morgan. All of Grand Rapids, MI.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Ward H. Walkotten of Holland MI, Sons: Derk J. Walkotten of Holland, MI, Drew M. Walkotten (Erin) of Evans GA, Her sister Norrine S. Rivers of Charlotte NC, Sisters in-law Carol Morgan of Marne MI and Victoria Johnson (Robert) of Grangeville ID, and her four grandchildren: Jon and Hayden-Evans GA and Avery and Abel-Holland MI, and many nieces and nephews.

Beryl was a long-time member of North Hills CRC of Troy, MI and a current member of First Reformed Church of Holland, MI. She graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School and Michigan State University with a degree in Dietetics ‘65’. She enjoyed reading books and being involved in book clubs, and active in many church ministries including women of faith and New Beginnings Church.

In addition to her love for reading and involvement in church ministries, Beryl’s greatest passion was supporting her loved one’s activities. Beryl made many lifelong friends while watching baseball games, swim meets, lacrosse games, track meets, and car races with Ward. Her grand children were a particular point of pride and joy, talking with them about whatever subject they chose to discuss or laugh about…and don’t get her laughing because once she started there was no stopping until the entire room was on the floor.

A visitation will take place on Friday, February 25 from 4-7pm at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 W. 32nd Street. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 26 at 10:00am at First Reformed Church in Holland, MI. Memorial contributions may be given to Schubert Male Chorus of Grand Rapids – schubertmalechorus.org and First Reformed Church of Holland – frcholland.org
