Beatrice Rodriguez

Beatrice Rodriguez (Bea) 61, of Grand Rapids Michigan, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at Spectrum (Butterworth) Hospital.

Beatrice worked at Robert Shaw for 13 years. She was also known for her food, especially her famous Tamales. In fact, her nickname was the ‘Tamale Lady’. Bea was loved by many family and friends. She enjoyed dogs and even supported her son’s dog breeding business.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Carlos Rodriguez; children, Maria Beatrice (Rogelo) Diaz, Carlos Rodriguez, Erica (John) Ortiz and Maria (Angel) Robels; mother, Maria Morin; siblings, Lydia Perez, Robert Morin, Andrew Morin (of Texas), Trinidad (Kim) Morin, Martin Morin (Melly Martinez), Felipia B Mendez; many cousins, as well as, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her father, Melquiadez Morin; daughters, Adrianna Martinez, Melissa Arellano; siblings, Melquiadez (Big Mike), Juanita Torres (Juana) and her grandson, Candelario Soto.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, on Monday January 31, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, February 1, at 12:00pm, at the Mulder Chapel. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Aron Garcia presiding. Interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland.

Professional service is under the auspices of the Mulder Chapel.
