Barbara "Barb" Appledorn

Barbara "Barb" Appledorn, age 85, of Holland, passed away peacefully on Monday July 19, 2021.

Barb was born to Lyle and Edith White in Muskegon, Michigan on June 27, 1936. She attended Muskegon Public Schools and graduated from Muskegon High School. Barb was married to the late Ron Appledorn for 43 wonderful years. She was a long time active member of First United Methodist Church in Holland. Mrs. Appledorn was the dutch dance coordinator and teacher in Holland for over 25 years. Barb also taught ballroom, tap and line dancing at Evergreen Commons for many years, as well as, water aerobics at both the Holland Aquatic Center and Evergreen Commons. Barb also had a love for road cycling and participated in many tours throughout her life.

Mrs. Appledorn is survived by her loving son, Scott Appledorn; grandchildren, Jessica Appledorn, Matthew Appledorn, Natalie Appledorn and Chloe Appledorn.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 27, at First United Methodist Church - 57 West 10th Street, Holland, at 2:00pm. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the ceremony at the church. Pastor Brad Bartelmay will preside over the service.
