Avis Jean Sebright (Schultz) was born on January 7, 1935 in Wilson Township, Charlevoix County. She passed away on March 24, 2025 in Holland, MI.

Avis met her husband James E. Sebright at the Fennville Fruit Exchange. They married on January 9, 1953 {72 years ago} and had 3 children, Laurie, Jerry, and Cindy.

She was a beautiful woman both inside and out. Avis never met a stranger. If you had time, she would visit with you no matter who you were, and she always saw the best in everyone. She loved sewing, knitting, making crafts, and baking. Especially if she could do these things for someone else, or with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. If there was anything she could do to support her family, she did it. Most of all, she loved her family and her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Avis was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Schultz (father) of Fennville, Evelyn Geerling (mother) of Pullman, and Phil Geerling (stepfather) of Pullman; children, Cindy Arens (daughter) of Hamilton, and Dan Arens (son-in-law) of Hamilton; brothers, Dick Schultz of West Olive and Herb Schultz of Chicago; and sisters, Vi Langan of Holland, Marie Johnson of Holland, Dearie Ross of West Olive, and Melvie Lamberts of Holland.

Avis is survived by her loving husband: James Sebright of Holland; children, Laurie Yates of Holland, Jerry (Carolyn) Sebright of Holland; brothers, Pal (Karen) Schultz of Wisconsin, Ken Schultz of Holland, Rex (Angie) Schultz of Bloomingdale; sister, Marnie (Keith) Daniels of Holland; also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 11:00am at Zion Lutheran Church, 77 32nd Street Holland, MI 49423. A visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 9:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church, Quilting Group or Sunday School.
