Art Grimaldo

Art Grimaldo, age 62, of Holland passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Providence Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Art was born and raised in California and came to Holland in 1972 where he met his wife Esmeralda. Art worked at Sligh Furniture in Zeeland for many years. He was a kind, loving and caring man with a great sense of humor and a laugh that could be heard a block away. He was always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Estanislado and Tules Grimaldo and siblings Domingo Grimaldo, Miguel Grimaldo and Alicia Zavala.

He is survived by his wife Esmeralda and children: Andrea Grimaldo of Wyoming and Victor Grimaldo of Holland; grandchildren: Eric, Mateo, Abyl and Vincent; brothers and sisters: Martina and Pedro Villarreal, Susana Serrano, Raul and Diane Grimaldo, David and Gilda Grimaldo, Vera and Pedro Mesa and Margie and Richard Valenzuela; brothers and sisters-in-law: Maryjane Thorne, Gloria Birke and Lucio Jr. and Aida Morin; many nieces, nephews, cousins.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Cornerstone Tabernacle Church, 781 Lincoln Avenue in Holland. Reverend Douglas C. Wright will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel.
