Art Eugene Alsip passed away May 24, 2025, at the age of 64.
Art was born in Kentucky and moved back and forth to and from Michigan until finally settling to stay permanently in 1980.
Art enjoyed a sip of Diet Cola and often looked forward to his Sunday evening steakhouse dinner with his family, who will greatly miss him.
Art is preceded in death by his mother, Pearlie Walters Alsip, his father, Nolan R. Alsip, and brother, James Alsip.
He is survived by his daughter, April Alsip; his sisters, Nola (Marie) Veling and Susie Jano Alsip Childers; his brother-in-law, Darrel Childers; his nephew, Derrick Martin Childers; nieces Lisa A. Rozeboom, Jamie S. Veling, and Nola Mae Veling; six grandchildren; two great-nephews; three great-nieces; seven great-great-nephews; and four great-great-nieces.
A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, 5/28/2025, at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd St., Holland, MI, 49423, from 5pm to 7pm.
