Anne L. Browneye, faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ, was welcomed into her Saviors' presence December 21, 2023. Anne was born on July 2, 1931 to Ed and Charlotte Yonker of Grand Rapids. Anne married her loving husband of 73 years, Ray Browneye in 1951.

Anne and Ray were a team, serving the Lord at Prairie Edge Chapel from 1952 until 1955. In January 1955, Anne and Ray moved to Nigeria and served with World Missions (now Resonate Global Missions) for 23 years. While in Nigeria, Ray developed and ran the missions' aviation program. Anne was a vital part of the ministry, doing the book keeping, facilitating communications and the scheduling of the mission airplanes. Anne enjoyed meeting with Nigerians, missionaries and anyone passing through, often inviting them to a meal in their home. Anne and Ray returned to Michigan in 1978. While in the US, she served on the board of Reformed Bible College (now Kuyper College) for 9 years, was active in her church Bible studies and showed hospitality to many.

Anne loved being out in God's creation. She was an avid fisherman, butterfly collector and tennis player. She loved camping in the African bush, walking in the woods and on the beaches of Lake Michigan. Anne's love for God was evident in her daily life and interactions. She brought joy and blessing to others daily.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Rynard Yonker and sister, Carol Smits. She will be missed by her husband, Ray; children, Jim (Janet) Browneye and Jackie (Al) Persenaire; grandchildren, Jim (Amber) Browneye, Greg (Anita) Browneye, Michelle (Aaron) Lugo, David (Janis) Persenaire, Ray (Tran) Persenaire; brother, Ed (Marge) Yonker; sister, Helen (Rich) Hoekstra, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral ceremony to honor her life and legacy will be held on Saturday, December 30, at 11:00am, at Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church, 836 East 8th Street, Holland. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at 10:00am, at the church. Reverend Ron Baker will preside over the funeral service. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Resonate Global Missions or Gateway Mission.

Professional service entrusted to the Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel.
