Alma Bareman

Alma Jane Bareman age 76 of Holland died Tuesday November 15, 2011 at Oak Crest Manor.

For many years Alma was employed as a cashier and later at the courtesy desk at Meijers in Holland. She was an active member of Grace Community Church serving as a Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was also a member of the Womens Fellowship Bible Study in Holland.

Alma had a passion for flowers and spent many hours in her garden. She also enjoyed traveling and following their retirement in 1992 spent many winters in Florida.

Alma touched many lives and even near the end of her life, was known as the prayer warrior to many at Oak Crest Manor. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her!

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Cathy Lynn Bareman.

Alma is survived by her husband of 58 years, Egbert Bareman and sons; Gary Bareman of Holland and Dennis Bareman of Tampa, Fl., as well as grandsons, Nicholas Bareman and Michael Bareman both of Holland, brothers and sisters; Charles (Marilyn) Stegenga , Phil (Jo) Stegenga , Della (David) De Feyter all of Holland and Patricia (David) Heerspink of Lynchburg, Vir., brothers and sisters in law; Mrs. John Gloria Stegenga of Holland, Clarence Timmereck of Georgia, Alvin (Dorothy) Bareman of Zeeland, John (Gloria) Bareman of Drenthe, Marge Guikema of Grand Rapids, Lorraine (Larry) Eding of Bentheim as well as several nieces ,nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, Grace Community Church , 945 136th Ave., Holland with Rev. Aaron Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Friends may greet the family Friday 6-8 at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland.
