Allyn Junior Cook, age 89, of Holland went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 22, 2016.

Allyn was a lifelong member of Immanuel Church where he served as a board member and Sunday school teacher. He was employed at Baker Furniture as a purchasing agent in the upholstering department for over 20 years before retiring from Haworth. He volunteered at Bibles for Mexico and Holland Hospital. Allyn enjoyed traveling, going on Gaither cruises and visiting the Holy land. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan in 1967 and his second wife Alma in 2004.

He is survived by his children: Sally and Gord De Vries of Borculo and Randy and Lynn Cook of Holland; grandchildren: Cory Cook, Courtney and Seth Foster and Allison Cook; several nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children, step-grandchildren and in-laws.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Rev. Dean Parham will be officiating. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-9 pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Bibles for Mexico or Immanuel Church Building Fund.
