Allan Oberstadt

Allan Oberstadt, 83, of Holland, joined his Lord Jesus Christ on February 3, 2017 surrounded by loving family and compassionate caregivers. Allan was born in Shiocton, WI on March 3, 1933. Along with his parents John & Della Oberstadt and his brother John, Allan grew up on a small dairy farm. After high school graduation, Allan joined the US Air Force and served in Korea. After discharge he attended Milwaukee School of Engineering and graduated with a BS in electrical engineering. He spent most his career in aerospace electronics, and subsequently auto electronics.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn; son, James (Janine); grandson, Andrew in New York City; brother John (Delores) in Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Christine. Allan was blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews and dear friends who reside out of state. He was a dedicated blood donor for American Red Cross. After retiring and while his health permitted, he enjoyed carpentry with Habitat Homes for Humanity, volunteer driving for Good Samaritan Ministries, and being a handy-man/Mr. fix-it and gardener for many. Allan was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where a memorial service will be held on May 22, 2017. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, American Red Cross - Blood Donor Program, or Habitat for Humanity.
