Alice "Char" Cyrus

Alice “Char” Cyrus, age 80, of Holland passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Char was a secretary at Holland Public Schools for many years as well as cheerleading coach. And was a member of Central Wesleyan Church. Char was a daycare provider and was lovingly known by many as “Granny”. She was a dedicated member of the Emblem Club and held local, state and national offices, which led to many years of traveling the country to attend conventions.

She is survived by her loving husband Danny of 62 years and children: Dana (Tracy) Cyrus of Holland and David (Patty) Cyrus of Zeeland; grandchildren: Mark (Taylor) Cyrus, Kevin Cyrus, Stephanie, Nicole (Matt) Orazem and Tim (Sara) Cyrus; 5 great grandsons; sister-in-law: Barbara Cyrus of Ohio; nieces and nephews.

Cremation will take place. A private family celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Northwood Chapel.
