Alfredo Mireles, age 80, of Hamilton, passed away, Saturday June 20, 2020.

Mr. Mireles was born in La Villa, Texas on July 17, 1939. He was a man who truly loved the Lord and feared God. Originally a member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church, Alfredo became a member of Hamilton Christian Reformed Church upon moving. He was the church custodian there for over 10 years and a faithful long time member. Alfredo served on a number of mission trips and was the sole translator on all of them. He also translated throughout the Hamilton and Pullman communities. On occasion a family he served in the mission field would visit him in Hamilton, Michigan as he touched their lives through the love of Christ. Mr. Mireles was also involved in sharing the gospel through Forgotten Man Ministries, Love Inc., and food drives at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was known for his quick wit, love for the Detroit Tigers, collecting model cars and of course going to flea markets and yard sales. Mr. Mireles was a man of understanding, humility and positive attitude. With those traits he was able to be a father figure and mentor to many through word and deed. As Fred said in a Holland Sentinel article many years ago, “I have had an awesome life in Christ”.

Mr. Mireles was preceded in death by his son Tomas Mirelez.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Mireles; children, Hector (Patricia) Mireles, Lydia Mireles, Adrian (Alexandra) Mireles, Alfredo Jr. (Paula) Mireles; stepsons, Eric Vinson, Daniel Vinson; grandchildren, Valerie Mireles, Victor Jr., Victoria Perez, Vanessa Mireles, Veronica Mireles, Vianca Mireles, Sara Pritchard, Xavier Mireles, Gabriel Mireles, Karissa (Tyler) Smith, Brooke Vinson, Korey Vinson and Dakota Vinson; 15 brothers and sisters; 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00am to 12:45pm, Friday June 26, at Hamilton Christian Reformed Church, 3596 47th St, Hamilton, MI. Facial coverings are highly recommended.

A public funeral ceremony will take place following visitation at 1:00pm at Hamilton CRC with the Reverend Kirk Vander Molen presiding.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Forgotten Man Ministries or to Love Inc.

Professional services entrusted to the Mulder Chapel.
