Life Story / Obituary
Agnes M. Kehrwecker (94) of Holland passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on February 20, 2026.
Agnes was born on August 14, 1931, to James and Kazimiera Kalman. She lived in the Holland area all her life. She graduated from Holland High School in 1949. She served as secretary at St. Francis de Sales Parish and also worked at Younkers and the Holland Peanut Store for many years.
Agnes was a devoted member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, where she served on many committees. She was an avid knitter and beanie baby collector, loved doing puzzles, and loved to play bingo where she met many dear friends along the way. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her parents, James and Kazimiera Kalman; and her siblings, Juanita, Alyce, Caroline, Kazmer, and George.
Agnes is survived by her children, Terry (Karen) Kehrwecker, Linda (Evan) Broekhuis, Michael Kehrwecker, Lisa Reyes, Tim (Nicole) Kehrwecker and Sara (Dan) DeLonay. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on February 25 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street. A Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, on Thursday February 26 beginning at 11:00am with Father Luis Garcia presiding. Interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate team at Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care, comfort, and support. Their kindness and dedication brought peace and dignity during her final days, and we are forever thankful.
The family would most humbly appreciate contributions to Corpus Christi Catholic School.
