Willis Borr Jr.

On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Willis (Bill) Borr Jr, age 89, of Holland, passed away at his home.

Bill was born August 24, 1932 to Willis Borr Sr and Gertrude Borr in Holland, Mi. He was in the United States Army and severed in the Korean War. He worked for years at the local Texaco and retried from Holland BPW as the maintenance foreman. He was a life member of Rose Park Reformed Church.

Bill loved tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. He was the fix it man for anything that needed fixing. He was nicknamed scrooge for his grumpy demeanor, but actually had the biggest heart you could ever find. He loved hard and helped anyone he could. He and Laverne loved camping and traveling to Florida in their retired lives.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years Laverne Borr. His parents Gertrude and Willis Sr, sister Nancy, sister Shirley, and great granddaughter Avery.

He is survived by his children, Cyndi (Terry) Frontz, Diane Borr, and Mike (Sue) Borr. His Grandchildren, Tracey (Mike) Christensen, Katie Frontz, Ryan (Lisa) Volkers, Rachelle (Willie) Walker, Casey Frontz, Ryan Borah, Tyler Borah, Connor (Jayme) Borah, and Ashley Borah. 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Siblings Gevena VanWieren, Dale Vanderyacht, Dave Scherpinsky, Ron (Hazel) Borr, and Pat Kole. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services are being planned currently and will be announced at a later time.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Norhwood Chapel.
