William (Bill) Harmon Camburn, 80, of Holland, Michigan passed away on July 30, 2022, at his home with his family by his side.

In 1963, Bill married Kathryn in Flat Rock, Michigan. He worked for Dancer’s Department Store from late 1966 through 1985. Bill served on the Saline City Council in Saline, Michigan and was also the treasurer of the Saline Jaycees and founder of the Downtown Business Association of Saline. After living in Hastings, Michigan for a couple of years, Bill and his family moved to Reed City, Michigan where he was a member of the Crossroads Theater. He was also a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Reed City acting as a youth group leader, board member, committee member, and was a member of the men’s group enjoying many Wednesday morning pancake breakfasts. After moving to Holland in 1994, he worked for Teddy’s Transport till his retirement in 2016. Bill graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1960. He attended Wayne State University. He was an avid fan of Michigan sports teams and enjoyed fishing and golf.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathryn, sister, Patricia (Robert) Zick; son, Thomas Camburn (Meghn Cook); daughter, Laura Graboskey; grandchildren Jonathan, Matthew, Jordan, Taylor, and Erin; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Gertrude Camburn; brothers Marvin, Robert, and Donald; and his granddaughters, Candice and Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Holland via hollandhospice.org.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at New Life Nazarene Church located at 2805 132nd Avenue, Holland, Michigan, 49424.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Holland via hollandhospice.org.

Light refreshments will be provided following the service.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
