Wayne A. Zeeryp, age 84, of Holland passed away suddenly May 4th, 2025. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Harry Zeeryp and Agnes Zeeryp (Whitlock). He was happily retired after a successful life being a well-trained electrician and handyman. The last known employer was Herman Miller. He was predeceased by his former wife Barbara Jean Zeeryp (Longwell) and survived by his children Scott Zeeryp and daughter-in-law Melissa Zeeryp, Sonja Neilsen and Bryan Zeeryp. Grand children Gabrielle Baty, Courteney Settergren, Andrew Moore, Kaeli and Kristina Zeeryp. He was blessed with 5 great-grandchildren.

Wayne loved the outdoors and always had a fishing pole in the back of his truck so he would never miss the action. He supported many nonprofit organizations that helped to lift up communities touched by poverty, disabilities, cancer, Alzheimer’s, veterans, habitat for humanity, Michigan planned parenthood, and many wildlife relief and environmental conservation efforts like the Match-e-be-Nash-She-Wish Band of the Pottawatomi (Gun Lake Tribe) who are hatching and releasing lake sturgeon back into the Kalamazoo River. Wayne often visited the mobile fish hatchery site near Allegan Lake and admired the cause.

Wayne enjoyed many fishing trips with his son Scott Zeeryp. Their trip to Alaska catching rainbows, grayling, trout and of course the Kings. It was an adventure no one could forget. He passed on his fishing skills and knowledge to his grandson Andrew Moore who will carry and enjoy all of Wayne’s secret fishing spots across Michigan.

Cremation will take place and no visitation/services are planned.

Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes – Mulder Chapel.
