Velia V. Sandoval

Velia Villarreal Sandoval age 84 passed away September 26, 2022.

She was born December 20, 1937 in San Antonio Texas. Velia worked in Holland at many manufacturing plants. She also worked at the Warm Friend Hotel where she learned how to make many new family dishes for her children. She worked at Sam’s Club as a checker and made many smiley faces with her highlighter on children’s hands. She worked at Hope College in food services department serving the students and retiring at age 79. She always said WORK was her hobby. Velia was a faithful and devoted Christian attending Beechwood Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Velia is survived by Greg Guajard, her children, Michael and Mariann Thompson, Charles and Charyle Sandoval, Thomas and Carmen VanSlooten, Chad and Maxine Schafer, Patrick and Michelle Sandoval, Stephanie Sandoval, Steve Flores, Salvador Sandoval, Heather Starrett and Paulla Sandoval, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the auspices of the Northwood Chapel.
