Theodore (Ted) Schreur, age 84 went peacefully from his earthly home to his eternal home in heaven on April 20, 2016.

Ted was a veteran of the Korean War, former owner of Schreur Printing Company, active in church, a supporter of Holland Christian Schools. Ted loved to play tennis, ride his bike and play golf.

Ted married the love of his life, Geri Nykerk, on March 13, 1959. Together they shared 57 years together, raising their 3 children and enjoying their 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brother, Dave Schreur; brothers in-law, Ed Diepenhorst, Chet Nykerk, Bob Hieftje, and sister in-law, Marlene Nykerk.

Surviving is his wife Geri, children Mitch and Jane Van Den Berge, Tom and Mary Haverdink, Tim & Mary Jane Schreur; grandchildren Nathan Van Den Berge & Kristen Jessee (engaged), Stephanie Van Den Berge, Travis Van Den Berge, Jill & Mark Fellwock, Brian Haverdink & Mariel Knot (engaged), Todd Haverdink, Zackary Schreur, and Kyle Schreur; brothers and sisters Don and Lois Schreur, Gertrude Schreur, Ruth Diepenhorst, Marilyn Lantay, in-laws Floyd Nykerk, MaeLee Nykerk, Lottie Hieftje, Ron and Mick Gebben, Elaine Voorhorst.

Visitation will be Friday April 22, 6-8pm at Dykstra Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel, 29 East 9th Street. Memorial service will be at 2pm Saturday, April 23, at the Central Wesleyan Church (Chapel), 446 West 40th Street, with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Holland Christian Schools or Hospice of Holland.
