Terrance David Sutton, the great grandson of Xavier Sutton who was known as “Holland’s Beer Baron” the owner of Sutton Saloon in 1879 shared the same spirit of being a clever proprietor and entrepreneur. Terrence, better known as Terry, was born on September 12, 1950 and was known to be an avid Elvis Fan, he would often times be found wearing his one of a kind iconic Elvis jumpsuit. Terry’s adoration and love for Elvis was much rewarded when Terry passed peacefully on August 16th 2016 within 20 minutes of his idol, Elvis.

Terry was born in New York, New York to Xavier Francis and Lenore Sutton. His siblings include Sister, Pamela Sutton, Brother, Xavier “Sparky” Sutton, Sister Dawn Gauthier, Sister Kathleen Alexander, and Sister Elizabeth Gossard.

Terry graduated from Holland High in 1970 and attended classes at Ferris State University. He went on to manage Good Year stores for 23 years. After successfully working for Good Year, Terry followed his passion for Golf and started his own business, Golf-Is-Us in 1986.

Terry is survived by his longtime companion Sharon Jones and her 3 children, former wife, Frances Duran Sutton, daughters, Kathy Orellana, Melissa Sutton, Angela Miller along with his 11 loving grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held, 1pm, Monday, August 22nd , at the 1st Assembly of God Church, 1331 East 16th Street, in Holland, MI.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
