Sharon Joy (Van Eerden) Bos of Holland, Michigan, 82, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022.

A lifelong native of Holland, Sharon was born December 11, 1939 to John and Marie Van Eerden. She graduated from Holland High School in 1959 and studied at Hope College before settling into raising her family. She worked in retail for many years, sharing her devotion to helping others through customer service.

Sharon’s personal passions were her family and her church. She raised two sons, Tom and John. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; she celebrated their accomplishments at every opportunity and was a frequent spectator at their sporting events. She loved giving big, long hugs to everyone in her family and was always ready to enjoy a good (or bad) joke. As a lifelong member of Third Reformed Church, she was active in several ministerial groups, including choir, children’s ministries, and small group Bible studies.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Tom (wife Laurie) of Holland, and John (wife Janna) of Locust Grove, Georgia, her beloved grandchildren: David, Megan (husband Sam Smeltzer), Tommy, Hailey, and Heather Bos. She is also survived by her brother Dave (wife Jeanne) Van Eerden of Zeeland, and sister Judi (husband Tom) Essenburg of Grand Rapids. Sharon will be deeply missed by all of her family.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Monday, March 14 at Third Reformed Church in Holland at 10:00 am. Memorials are kindly suggested to the Third Reformed Church of Holland.
