Shallow J. “Gidget” Harris age 57 of Fennville, MI died Tuesday March 15,2016 at her home.

Born in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 10, 1958, she moved to the Holland-Fennville area in 1978. There she met and in April of 1980 married Hugh Wayne Harris.She was a former employee of S2 Yachts, Polynesian Pools, Chris Craft and later Harbors Health Facility and Fountain View Nursing Facility.

After leaving Fountain View, she became an at-home mom. Shallow enjoyed doing genealogy and everything that goes with it, including going to cemeteries, editing family photos, and playing "Sherlockette" in courthouses. She also enjoyed playing with her dogs, being with and doing things with her family, watching TV with her husband, shopping in consignment shops, and scrapbooking. She enjoyed collecting butterflies, angels, dolls and recipes.

Shallow is survived by her husband of 36 years, Hugh Wayne Harris and daughter, Tiffany, mother, Emma Lee Mc Roy, brothers, Jeffrey Allen (Lillie) Davis Sr., Charles (Christina) Cox, sisters, Karen (Jason) Wilkins-Griffin,Debbie Hudson, Sharon (Tony) Boyken, and in-laws, Deva (Doug) Murr, James (Rose) Harris and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday 4:00PM at Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland. Friends may greet the family Friday 3:00- 4:00 prior to the service.

In leu of flowers friends are encouraged to give to the Shallow Harris Memorial Fund to help defray the cost of the funeral.
