Robert Unger

Robert Thomas Unger peacefully passed away November 21, 2016 at the age of 98. He was born in Bloomsburg, PA on August 1, 1918 and moved to Michigan when he was young. His family settled in Detroit. He was a four year army veteran during WWII. He married Charlotte Vredeveld in 1945 and they spent 71 years in the Holland area. He retired from Baker Furniture after 35 years. He and Charlotte enjoyed traveling up north. He also enjoyed reupholstering and making furniture. He is survived by Charlotte, daughter Gayle Cooper (Jerry) of Holland, MI, son, Thomas ( Julie) and grandson, John of Lake Havasu City, AZ. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
