Robert Stewart Tibbs, 74 of Holland MI, passed away December 16, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
Robert was born in Kalamazoo to Benjamin and Myrna Tibbs on January 13, 1946. He attended Loy Norrix High School and Kellogg Community College. He also attended Brooks Institute of photography in Santa Barbara, CA. He and his family moved to Holland in 1975. He was employed at IHS distributing. He retired from Zeeland Community Hospital in 2008. Robert had a passion for fishing, hunting, photography, and barbecuing, which he enjoyed sharing with his sons and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Linda of 53 years; his two sons, Jeff (Kerri) Tibbs of Zeeland, and Matt (Mindy) Tibbs, also of Zeeland; grandchildren, Ethan, Megan, Nolan, Emersyn, and Anders Tibbs. He is also survived by his cousin in Arizona, Kay Tornay.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers William and Richard.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 21 from 4-7pm at Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel. 295 Douglas Avenue, Holland.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
