Rachelle Gray Waldron, age 82, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in Lodi CA.
“Ricki” was born on August 5, 1934 in Rockingham, North Carolina, to Paul and Ethel Young. After moving to California, Ricki met and married the love of her life, Wes. In 1971 they moved to Holland, MI where they purchased a blueberry farm and she set forth being a farmer’s wife, volunteered at Phillips schools, two rest homes and was active in her Church. She came back to Lodi in 2011 to be near her daughters and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Waldron and son, Phillip Waldron.
She is survived by her daughters: Nancy (Rick) Lopez of Rocklin, CA and Carol (George) Alves, of Lodi, CA.; grandchildren: Nathan (Janelle) Lopez, Brett Lopez, Dustin (Katie) Alves and Lindsay (Devin) Gogna; great grandchildren: Natalie, Payton, Trevor, Taylor, Owen and baby girl Gogna (due in September); brother and sister: Ray Young of Tennessee and Barbara Navarro of Borrego Springs, Ca.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, July 21, 2017 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland. Reverend Brad Bartelmay will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at that chapel.
