Pauline Jousma, of Saugatuck, MI, was born in Holland, MI on June 7, 1943. On December 8, 2021 at 12:12am, as her daughters lovingly stood by her side, she peacefully went home to be with Jesus.

Pauline married the love of her life, Paul Allen Jousma, on September 8, 1961. She treasured their life together, their daughters and the love he gave to her. She was a devoted, loving and faithful wife to him until the day she died.

Pauline loved unconditionally, she valued her children and taught them to love God and to be kind and generous to everyone they met. She was an amazing, loving, patient grandmother, Cherished Aunt, and Loyal Friend. All who know her love her.

She was an admired member of her Gibson Christian Reformed Church Family. She held close to her faith and loved her Lord Jesus Christ. She lived her life exemplifying that faith. Her desire was for others to know Jesus and to grow in a loving personal relationship with Him.

Pauline was preceded in death by her Husband Paul Jousma, Infant Son, Danny Lee, Parents Dan and Dorothy (Lamberts) VanDyke, In-laws Floyd and Barbara (Merryman) Jousma, Sister Alice (Bernie) DeWys, Brother Alvin Van Dyke, Sister Joan Botsis, Sister Lorraine (Frank) Wicks, Sister Marian Kortman, Brother Ken VanDyke, Sister Lois Plaggemars, Sister-in-law Carol (Jack) Spaulding, Infant Grandson Aaron Michael, and Infant Granddaughters Morghan Lyn, & Lydia Pauline.

She is survived by Her Daughter Robin Hyde, Daughter Kathleen (Kate) DeVries, Son-in-law Tracy DeVries, Brother Roger (Zeta) VanDyke, Brother-in-law Robert Botsis, Sister-in-law Audrey VanDyke, Sister-in-law Marge VanDyke, Brother-in-law Floyd (Sandy) Jousma, Sister-in-law Ruth (DeWayne) Herbrandson, Granddaughter Cassandra (Austin) Jordan, Grandson Randy Eckert, Jr., Granddaughter Elizabeth Foulks, Granddaughter Victoria (Joshua) Walker, Great Grandsons Caiden, Sam, Pheonix, Donald & Joey, Great Granddaughter Leona, and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday (December 14) at Gibson Christian Reformed Church 6486 140th Avenue, with Rev. Vern Swieringa officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Visitation is 1-3 and 5-7 Monday (December 13) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
