Patsy "Pat" Largent

Patsy was born on August 16, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to Bertha and Harry Merrill who resided in Harrison, Michigan. She spent her childhood living in Harrison and Saginaw where her father worked on the C&O Railroad. Patsy graduated from Harrison High School class of 1948. On May 7,1949 she married William Franklin Greenman of Mt. Morris, Michigan. Together they were blessed with five daughters, Denise, Judy, Renee, Sheri, and Amy. Patsy's husband "Bill" passed away in 1973 and Patsy married her surviving husband Jack Norman Largent in 1975 and became the step mother of Daniel, Jan, Randy, Paul, and Charlene. Jack and Patsy finished raising their children together in Saginaw, Michigan and then in 1989 moved to a home on North Dease Lake in the area of Hale, Michigan. They spent seventeen years there and in 2006 permanently retired to their present address in Holland, Michigan. Jack and Patsy spent the winter months in Sebring, Florida at the Maranatha Christian community. Patsy passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior Jesus on the morning of January 25, 2021. Her life was marked by devotion to her faith and her family and anyone who needed a helping hand.

Patsy is survived by her devoted husband of forty-five years Jack Norman Largent. She is also survived by a dear cousin Beverly Trowbridge of Harrison, Michigan who spent her childhood years living with the Merrill family. She is also survived by children Denise Todd, Judy Rood, Renee Bukaweski, and Amy Sova and step children Dan Largent, Jan Talik, Randy Largent, Paul Largent, and Charlene Dubridge. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her first husband Bill, her parents Bertha and Harry, brothers Jack and James Merrill and her daughter Sherri Norlin.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 29, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church, 517 West 32nd Street in Holland. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 1st at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw, MI with family and friends welcome. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel.
