Patricia Benthin

Patricia Ann Benthin, aged 75, passed away on July 25, 2022, in her home, in Holland, MI.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Berniece (Ossward) Topp.

Surviving is her loving husband, Rickey Benthin; their three children: Timothy Benthin, Troy Benthin, and Tracy Benthin; grandchildren: Zachary, Nicole, Destiny, and Isiah; brothers: Woody (Joan) Topp, and Brad (Norma) Topp; brother-in-law: Terry Benthin, and sister-in-law Brenda Mack; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Patricia was born in Kalamazoo, MI. She graduated from Portage Central High School in 1965, and attended Western Michigan University for 2 years. She married the love of her life, Rickey, in 1967, and they started a family thereafter.

Her administrative career began with Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, MI. After the family moved to Holland, MI, she was employed with Child and Family Services, and then Pine Rest of Grand Haven, before retiring in 2007.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. Her favorite color was yellow, her favorite song was “Mony Mony.” She was a sports fan of the University of Michigan. She loved listening to music, dancing, shopping, playing card games, and sitting around a bonfire. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her positive outlook on life, and her encouragement towards her loved ones, were a few of her many admirable traits. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

No funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family would love to hear your favorite memory of Patricia. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Northwood Chapel.
