Norma Fitts

Norma Jean Fitts, age 82, of West Olive, passed peacefully in her home on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Norma was a member of Westshore Christian Church where she spent many hours in the nursery loving the children. She worked at Haven Park nursing home in the activities department. Norma enjoyed traveling, watching and supporting her husband Bill at baseball games and her family activities and sporting events.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Joann McMillan and Linda Porteous and a grandson Adam Fitts.

Norma is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Bill and children: Billy (Nancy) Fitts of Hamilton, Kathy (Al) Haveman of Holland, Denise (Mike) Jones of West Olive and Jodi (Jerry) Hershberger of Byron Center; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters and brother: Marie (Ron) Ricketts of Florida, Carol (Don) Boyle of Holland, Wanda (Bob) Hosley of Holland and Albert (Sandy) Brookhouse of Holland; in-laws: Dorothy (William) Brown of Holland, Eva (David) DeRidder of Holland and Mark Olin of Holland; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Westshore Christian Church, 3062 120th Avenue in Holland. Rev. JR Lightstein will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Friday, July 15, 2022 at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
