Nancy June Reynolds (nee McGrath) 88, passed away Monday May fourth at her home in Douglas MI.

Beloved daughter of the late James and Florence McGrath. Loving sister to late Margaret Vostle, Pattie Louzon, and Barbara Prange.Nancy and her Husband Bill (deceased) were longtime residents of Clarendon Hills IL. and raised their family there. They were active members of Notre Dame church in Clarendon Hills IL. and St. Peters in Saugatuck MI. Bill and Nancy were well known in Clarendon Hills as members of the fire department and the owners of the local grocery store. They retired to Douglas in 1991 and proceeded to host their growing family to summers in south west Michigan.

Loving Daughters Caryn Linn and Kathy Ricar and son Thomas and his wife Mary Ellen Reynolds were with Nancy as she passed away at home. She is survived by Michael Reynolds and was proceeded in death by her beloved sons James (Jimmie) Reynolds and Richard Reynolds. Loving thanks to Kathy for the years of help and care to our Mom. Nancy was a kind and loving grandmother and is survived by grandchildren Clif Wells, Charles Reynolds, Mary Elizabeth Byczynski, Michelle Witkowski, Candace Linn, Morgan Reynolds and Mallory Reynolds. She had also welcomed her first great grand child Logan from proud parents Clif and Amanda Jo Wells. In the last week of her life many of her grandkids and great grandchild were able to visit her and express their love and support for her. There were many kind and tender moments in her last weeks.

Nancy loved staying involved with her family and old friends from Clarendon Hills days. She also enjoyed gardening and feeding the hummingbirds that came to her porch each summer. She volunteered at Christian Neighbors’ charities. She loved the Celtic Thunder singing group and was able to see them in person on a recent trip to Chicago. She introduced us all to the relaxed lifestyle and beautiful nature of the south west Michigan’s beaches and woods. Nancy’s strength and love for family will be remembered and cherished by her loved ones for all our days.

Nancy will be interned at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside IL., and a memorial service will be announced later.
