Myrna Beekman

Myrna Beekman, age 82, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Myrna was born in Holland and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Holland High School in 1953. Myrna was a life member of the First United Methodist Church. She was very active at the church and previously worked in the church office.

Surviving is her husband Donald of 62 years; children, Randy and Mary Beekman, Laurie and Randy Bezile, and Mark and Jill Beekman; 5 grandchildren, Megan and Bryan VerWys, Kendra and Wesley Garmon, Zachary Bezile, Mitchell Beekman, and Andrew Beekman; sisters, Mary Mowery and Nancy Meyer; in-laws, Arlene Northuis, Shirley and Wayne Larsen, and Carol Haverdink; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held 11 am, Tuesday (June 13), at the First United Methodist Church, 57 West 10th Street, with the Rev. J. Lynn Pier-Fitzgerald officiating.

Visitation will be 7-9 pm, Monday (June 12), at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to the UMW (United Methodist Women’s) Mission Fund.
