Miguel Saldana, age 56, of Holland, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021.
Miguel was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Domingo Saldana and Anna Maria Rocha on June 18, 1965. Miguel was always laughing, joking and playing pranks. He had a heart for people and was known for his hospitality. He loved sports, especially the game of football. Miguel was an avid Nascar fan and Number 18, Kyle Busch, was his favorite driver. He passed on his love of sports to his grandson. Mr. Saldana was a family man who truly loved his grandchildren. He was always willing to help his daughter watch over the grand kids and he instilled in his granddaughter a love of animals. Miguel was always present at school sporting events and concerts, supporting his family. He was definitely a proud grandfather. Mr. Saldana attended classes at the Midtown Center over the last few years and was involved in Circles through Good Samaritan Ministries. Miguel was a Member of First United Methodist Church in Holland. He was loved by all who knew him and will truly be missed.
Mr. Saldana is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Paul J.) Duff; grandson, Ryan P. Duff; granddaughter, Ashley K. Duff; siblings, Domingo (Amanda) Saldana Jr., Frank Saldana, Jose G. Saldana & fiancé, Jennifer Clark; half-siblings, Diane Johnson, David Moreno, Henry Elsercio; niece, Amber Davis Perez.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Marcello Saldana.
A funeral ceremony will be held to honor Miguel's life and legacy on Saturday, December 4, at 1:00pm, at First United Methodist Church, 57 West 10th Street, Holland.
