Michael Zeedyk

Michael Jon Zeedyk passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2023.

As a lifelong resident of the Holland, Michigan area Mike enjoyed partaking in the many hunting and fishing opportunities that West Michigan provided. As a child growing up along the lakeshore he enjoyed fox hunting in the dunes with his father, and as an adult he spent many days fishing for walleye on Lake Macatawa and was always exited to participate in the deer and turkey hunting seasons. Mike was also a die-hard University of Michigan and a long-suffering Detroit Lions and Tigers fan and was often seen sporting the team logos regardless of how the teams were performing.

Mike was preceded in death by his youngest child, Alison, and his wife Joanne. He is survived by his children, Ken and Alicia Zeedyk of Zeeland, Keli VanLiere of Holland, Bill and Betsie Zeedyk of Tampa, Florida, and Tim and Kristin Zeedyk of Traverse City. Additionally, he was blessed with five grandchildren Kamryn, Lily and Zac, Ben and Jack.

During his six-month illness Mike was under the care of Hospice of Holland and Resthaven Care Center. He developed close friendships among the staff and sincerely appreciated the help and assistance provided by those organizations.

No service is planned, and Mike’s ashes will be interred with his loving mother and father. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Hospice of Holland.
