Michael Paul Lemson, age 70, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 3, 2021.

Mike was born in Holland (Graafschap area) to Robert and Phyllis (Windemuller) Lemson and graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1969. He worked as a mechanic at a local gas station all through high school, and went into tool and die apprenticeship with his father when he was 22 years old; he had a long and successful career in the tool and die automotive industry until his retirement this year. Mike enjoyed hunting with his friends, and was member of Club 8 in Evart, Michigan with lifelong friends Carl and Jody Lamar and their children Ross (and Jamie), Brian (and Sue), and David (and Abi), who all called him Uncle Mike, as well as Sherwin and Signe Koening, Jim and Deb Kiekover. He was also a son of the American Legion and very active in his membership.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and his siblings, Vonnie and Steve.

Mike is survived by his wife, Marcia of 25 years; his children, Amy and Richard Knapp, Kirsten Ledesma, Elizabeth "Libby" Lemson, Leigh Kunst, and John "Buster" and Ashley Leeuw; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, as well as his mother, Phyllis Lemson. His siblings include Julie Lemson, Jim and Linda Lemson, and Becky and Steve Bredeweg and his brother Steve's wife, Janet Lemson. He is also survived by his wife Marcia's family: Joyce Smith, Nick and Barb Vander Veen, Gary and Deb Vander Veen, Dan and Bonnie Vander Veen, Pam and Scott Segard, Verna Vander Veen, Karen and Tim Zuidema, and Rob Vander Veen; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday (September 9) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street. No services are scheduled.
