Michael Eady of Kalamazoo, MI peacefully passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 81. Mike was born on December 16, 1944, in Holland, MI. He graduated from Holland High School in 1963.

He joined the U.S. Navy right after graduation and served from 1963-1967 as a diesel mechanic. Most of his 4 years were spent on the USS Valley Forge which was an amphibious assault ship (LPH) carrying helicopters and Marines. His home base was Scubic Bay, Philippines in the Western Pacific.

In 1975 he earned two associates degrees. One in Applied Science in Radio-TV Service and one in Applied Science in Transmitter Service, from Ferris State College.

In 1976 he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Electronics from Ferris State College. After college he continued to earn many other certifications in Electronics and found work in that field.

In 1990 Mike found the place in which he belonged, when he moved to the Kalamazoo, MI area. In his retirement he enjoyed activities Kalamazoo had to offer and going to his favorite Coffee Shop!

Mike was a kind; quiet man and he will be missed.

He is survived by his sister Christi and Jay Bruns of Holland, MI, nephews Eric and Bethany Bruns (and their sons Grayson and Duncan) of Farmington Hills, MI and Daniel and Sara Bruns of Winter Garden, FL, plus many cousins.

A private family memorial will be held later this year.
