Matias Blanco Perez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matias Blanco Perez, who left us on June 4th, 2025, at the age of 53. He was surrounded by his family and passed away peacefully at home.

Matias Blanco Perez was born on April 24th, 1972, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, to Juan Pablo Blanco Esquivel and Maria Teresa Perez Blanco.

He was known for being a jack of all trades and had many interests, such as coaching and playing soccer, choreographing quinceañeras, cooking, carpentry, and music. He enjoyed having a good time with family and friends, bringing life to any gathering. It was never a dull moment when he was around.

Matias Blanco Perez is survived by Patricia Olivares Blanco, Matias Blanco Jr., Pablo Enrique Blanco, his 2 grandsons, Emiliano and Arthur, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and a large extended family.

A service to honor Matias Blanco Perez's life will be held on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Parish. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Bear River Health in Boyne, Michigan, in Matias Blanco Perez 's memory.

While we mourn the loss of Matias Blanco Perez, we will forever cherish the memories of his fun and loving spirit. May his life serve as a reminder of the importance of support and compassion for those struggling with addiction. In his memory, we encourage those who need help to reach out and seek recovery.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 171 W 13th St., Holland, MI 49423, on Wednesday, June 11th, at 11am, with an hour of visitation prior.
