Mark DeWeerd

Mark A. DeWeerd, age 63, of Holland died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth.

Mark had a produce route and vegetable stand early in life, and spent many years operating a foodservice equipment business selling restaurant equipment throughout Michigan and neighboring states. Mark enjoyed being around people and having a good time. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald F. DeWeerd in 2008, his mother Donna Mae DeWeerd in 2015 and a brother Gary DeWeerd in 2013.

He is survived by his wife Kathy and children: Tanya and Larry Dordon of Ooltewah, TN, Marcus and Tara DeWeerd of Zeeland, MI; grandchildren: Josh, Brooke and Savannah Dordon, Jacob, Jesse and Joseph DeWeerd; sister:

Cindy and Rick Polinskey of Baldwin; sisters-in-law: Teri DeWeerd of Hagerstown, MD, Kim and Ron O’Connor of Hopkins, MI and Heidi Andrews of Holland; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, January 11, 2016 at Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Father Corwin Stoppel will be officiating. Cremation will take place and burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Mulder Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the family of Mark DeWeerd.
