Margaret Van Wienen, age 81 of West Olive, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015.

Margaret was born in Chicago, IL on September 2, 1934 to Henry and Margaret (Fortuin) DeYoung.

In 1959 she married William Van Wienen.

She was a member of the West Olive Christian Reformed Church and a former member of Sunshine Christian Reformed Church and Fourth Reformed Church of Grand Rapids.

Margaret was a volunteer worker at the Pregnancy Resource Center in Grand Rapids for 11 years.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Roger Van’t Hof; sister, Sharon Sitelis; brothers, Edward DeYoung and Harry DeYoung; in-laws, John Sitelis, Jim Aten, and Norman Van Wienen.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 56 years, William; children, Marcia Sue Van’t Hof and Mark William Van Wienen and Anne Marie Windholz; 4 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Miranda, and Benjamin Van Wienen and Braden Van’t Hof; brothers and sisters, Esther and Richard Vander Woude, Calvin and Lee DeYoung, Carolyn and Warren Lowry, Lois Michalczyk, William and Diane DeYoung, Edwin and Polly DeYoung, Ronald and Darla DeYoung, and Gloria Aten; in-laws, Gertrude Van Wienen, John and Lois Van Wienen, and Carol DeYoung; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday (September 10) at Pillar Church, 57 East 10th Street, with the Revs. Lew Vander Meer and Jonathan De Ruiter.

Burial will be in Lakeshore Cemetery in Grand Haven.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Ave.
