Life Story / Obituary

Print

On December 5, 2022 Marcia Vanden Berg went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born to Neil (Bob) and Muriel Curtis on July 23, 1949. Both preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Al of 23 years. She also leaves behind; 2 children Lynsey (Rob) Taulbee, and Brent (Jenny) Peters. Step-children Phil Vanden Berg and Heather (Floyd) Behmlander. She had 9 grandchildren; Tyler, Drew, Maddie, Lexi, Leea, Justin, Andrea, Derek and Samantha. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Beth (Walt) Pluzdrak and many other devoted family and friends.

She is remembered as a proud Christian, a devoted wife, a loving mother and a one-of-a-kind grandma. Marcia was never one to sit still. She was always throwing some kind of party with a new recipe that she found on Pinterest. She loved going to any event that the grandchildren had going on, and she would travel whatever distance was needed to get there. She was always looking out for others whether she was preparing them a meal or just checking in to see how they were doing. Her spunk and passion for life will surely be missed.

A memorial service will be held, 11 am Saturday, December 10, at Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, December 9, also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
