Lula Smith

Lula Lorraine Smith was born in Grand Rapids Michigan to Randal and Lula Marvin on April 19th,1948. She passed October 20th,2019 at Trillium woods hospice center in Byron Center with her loving and devoted husband Gary by her side. We know she was met in Heaven by many, many family members who had crossed over before her. Her beloved stepson Shane was surely at the head of the line to greet her. Lula spent her life working at Clark memorial home in Grand Rapids. She married the love of her life Gary, 32 years ago and had a very happy life together. Lula enjoyed spending time cooking, going to antique shows, gardening, home renovations, and traveling with Gary to visit family and friends. To know Lula was to love her and she will be so missed.

Lula is survived by her husband Gary Smith; stepdaughter, Michelle Turner; step granddaughter, Corinne VanStedum and great grandson Hayden. Gary's brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews will always have a special place in their hearts for her.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made in her honor to St.Jude's hospital. Floral arrangements are being done by her stepdaughter Michelle Turner at V.S.Flowers in Douglas,mi 269-857-4613.
