Luis Medina

Luis Medina, age 54, of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Luis was born in Marshall, Michigan to Larry and Maria (Rios) Medina on October 8, 1968. He attended Hopkins Public Schools and graduated from Hopkins High School with the class of 1987. After graduation he attended and graduated from Sullivan University in Kentucky. He was a professional baker and Chef. He was known around West Michigan for his exquisite wedding and birthday cakes. Luis loved traveling and made his way to Paris, France and Mexico to name a few. He was most recently employed by Request Foods of Holland. Mr. Medina loved his family dearly. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. He was one to give gifts and also make you laugh. Luis had a great sense of humor and an easy smile. With his easy going demeanor and laid back ways he was easy to love and he will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Medina is survived by his parents, Lauro and Maria Medina; siblings, Lauro Medina Jr., Patricia (Hector) Mireles, Samuel Medina and Sylvia Grover; nieces, Victoria (Victor) Perez, Vanessa Mireles, Veronica Mireles and Vianca Mireles; three great nieces, eight great nephews, extended family and friends.

Luis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gregorio and Amada Medina & Candelario and Manuela Rios; sister in-law, Sheri Medina; niece, Valerie Mireles.

Interment will take place in Bentheim Cemetery.
