Louise Van Slooten

Louise K. Van Slooten, age 94, of West Olive died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her home.

Louise was an accountant at Vans Pines Nursery, Inc. for many years. She was part of the Safari Club International - Michigan Chapter and Wildlife Unlimited. Louise love spending time with family. She enjoyed going out to eat with family and celebrating birthdays together. Louise liked spending time at the casinos. She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Van Slooten and a brother Donald Veele.

She is survived by her son: Gary and Chris DeVries of Holland; step children: Karen McVan and Kathy Ames of Florida, Gary and Sharon Van Slooten of Holland and Gloria Ross of Arizona; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister: Gloria Siersma of Holland; brother: Adrian Jr. and Harriet Veele of Holland; sister-in-law: Marlene Veele of Holland; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am, Monday, February 20, 2017 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland. Father Corwin Stoppel will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Northwood Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
