Lorene McKinney

Lorene McKinney, age 93, of West Olive died Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

Lorene and her husband pastored the Holland Church of God on Felch St. from 1966 – 1976. She was very involved making food for fund raisers, as a Sunday School teacher, Youth Leader and was involved in the Ladies Auxillary. Lorene was employed at Sears for many years. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband the Rev. Rudishell D. McKinney in 2003 and an infant daughter Donna Jean.

She is survived by her daughter: Sandra and Buford Kelch of West Olive and Harry and Sylvia McKinney of Port Huron, MI; 3 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandson; several nieces and nephews; a special thank you to the kind nurses at Hospice of Holland.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, October 31, 2016 at New Vision Church of God, 277 Felch Street in Holland. Reverend Thomas Champion will be officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Muskegon.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel in Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
