Lois McLachlan, age 97, of Holland went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at her daughter Beth’s home.

Lois was born to Herman and Nellie (VanGelderen) Karsten in Wyoming, MI. She was a member of Central Wesleyan Church. Lois was a stay at home mom caring for her children and was a foster mother to 25 babies over the years. She was married to her husband John R. McLachlan for 69 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Patricia McLachlan, son Mark McLachlan, grandson Todd Erlandson and daughter-in-law Lydia Liedel McLachlan.

She is survived by her children: Gail (Duane) Frens of Grandville, Ann (Sam) Ross of Sun Rise, FL, Beth (Larry) Erlandson of Holland, Mary (Dave) Holtz of Fayetteville, GA, Bruce McLachlan of Traverse City and Mike (Beth) McLachlan of San Jose, CA; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister: Yvonne Jasperse of Grand Rapids; brother: Brian (Diane) Karsten of Byron Center; sister-in-law: Eva Williams of Reed City and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be 2:30 pm, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the chapel at Central Wesleyan Church, 446 West 40th Street in Holland. Please use entrance G. Reverend Larry Erlandson will be officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery in Evart, MI.

Visitation will be from 1:30 – 2:30 pm prior to the service. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Pioneers, in care of Jeremy and Amanda Ross, 10123 William Carey Drive, Orlando, FL 32832-6931.
