Lois Ruth (Felthoven) Fash (born January 28th, 1926) passed peacefully into the next world on November 3, 2021 at Appledorn Assisted Living Center in Holland, Michigan.

Lois was the only child born to Walter C. Felthoven and Pauline (Haig) and grew up in Caseyville, Illinois during the dark days of the depression. She graduated from Collinsville High School in 1943, attended MacMurry College, graduating in 1947 with a degree in English and a teaching certificate. Lois met her future husband of 61 years, Arthur, while teaching in the High School in Farmington, Illinois, where they lived and raised a family. Lois pursued a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Bradley University (’86) and spent many years working and helping others. Lois and Arthur spent their retirement years in Douglas, Michigan where Lois cared for her mother Pauline and her beloved Aunt Noane (Verona Huguenot Cannon), who had been like a big sister to Lois. She was an avid bridge player, reader, collector, and artist, and an accomplished gardener, winning awards for her beautiful gardens. As a 67-year PEO member, Lois was a dedicated member of chapters AE in Farmington and BW in Holland. A remarkable woman for her times, Lois will be greatly missed by her family.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband Arthur H. Fash.

She is survived by her two children, Sara Fash and James W. Fash (Dawn White) and three grandchildren, Turner and Freeman Levack and Annika Fash-White.

Lois will be memorialized in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington. No further services are planned. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Downtown Chapel.
