Lisa Moes Phillips, age 42, of Holland, passed away May 31, 2021.

Lisa was born in Holland, Michigan to Thomas and Janice (DeNeff) Moes on October 6, 1978. She attended Holland Public Schools her entire life and graduated in 1996. Ms. Moes was also a member of the Holland High School swim team. Following graduation Lisa went on to further her education at Wittenberg University and graduated with a major in Psychology and minor in Spanish. She previously worked as a substitute teacher at Douglas Elementary School and Occupational Therapist at Bronson Hospital. She was currently the office manager at the family business, Moes Construction. Lisa was part of the third generation of family running the business. Recently she made the decision to enter the nursing profession. She had just been accepted into the nursing program at Lake Michigan College. Lisa had a beautiful personality with a whitty and sarcastic sense of humor. Her smile was infectious. She had a love for people and she loved the Lord. Ms. Moes was a member of Christ Memorial Church in Holland. She was a true pleasure to be around and always ready for an adventure. Lisa truly adored her nieces and would take them on special trips often. Family was always first and she enjoyed weekly lunch and breakfast dates with her mother. Ms. Moes was always happy around the pool or in her kayak. Lisa was also an avid sports fan, particularly the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. Everyone also knew that Lisa had a love for Labradors and she was even a dog sitter at one point in her life. She spent her winters in Florida and enjoyed traveling. Ireland was one of her most memorable travels. She was loved by all who knew her and will truly be missed.

Ms. Moes was preceeded in death by grandparents William & Ruth DeNeff. She is survived by her loving parents Tom & Jan Moes; siblings, Julie (Douglass) Smith, Ryan (Karen) Moes; nieces, Taylor & Saige Moes, Ellery, Megan, and Claire Smith; grandparents, George & Eleanor Moes; aunts & uncles, Craig & Ellen Moes, Jane & Brian Borr, Jeff & Beth Moes of Iowa, Jim DeNeff of Utah, several cousins and boyfriend, Kurt Barner.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday June 6, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral ceremony will be held Monday June 7, at 12:00pm, at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Rd., Holland. Pastor Jeff Moes will preside over the service. Interment will be in Graafschap Cemetery, Holland.
